The Most Beautiful Wedding Venues in Paris and Île-de-France

As wedding videographers, we've had the privilege of filming at dozens of magnificent venues in Paris and Île-de-France. Each has its own charm, atmosphere, and light. Here's our selection of the 10 venues that impressed us the most — along with our tips for choosing yours.

1. Château de Chantilly (Oise)

One of the most beautiful châteaux in France, just 40 minutes from Paris. The gardens designed by Le Nôtre are a dream setting for photos and video. The golden late-afternoon light on the water features is absolutely magical. Ideal for elegant and romantic weddings, with capacity ranging from intimate to grand events.

2. Le Pavillon Royal — Bois de Boulogne (Paris 16th)

A green haven in the heart of Paris. The Pavillon Royal offers a countryside setting while remaining in the capital. The towering century-old trees create a perfect natural light filter for video. The advantage? Your guests don't need to leave Paris to feel like they're in the countryside.

3. Domaine de Verderonne (Oise)

A private estate with incredible charm, featuring stone walls, French-style gardens, and an orangery. It's the kind of place where every corner is photogenic. The sunset from the terrace offers cinematic shots we never tire of. Perfect for weddings of 100 to 250 guests.

4. La Grande Mosquée de Paris (Paris 5th)

For couples seeking a unique venue steeped in history. The mosaics, interior gardens, and Moorish architecture create an incomparable atmosphere. On video, the play of light through the mashrabiya screens is spectacular. A venue that truly stands out from the crowd.

5. Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte (Seine-et-Marne)

The château that inspired Versailles, no less. The French-style gardens stretch as far as the eye can see and offer grand perspectives for drone footage. The château's interior, with its paintings and gilding, is a movie set. Candlelit evening weddings here are simply breathtaking.

6. Château de Ferrières (Seine-et-Marne)

A former Rothschild family estate, this château blends Renaissance style with 19th-century opulence. The 30-hectare park allows for varied photo and video sessions, from romantic woodland paths to grand majestic alleys. The reception hall is monumental and never fails to impress guests.

7. Les Salons Hoche (Paris 8th)

For those who want a quintessentially Parisian wedding. Located steps from the Arc de Triomphe, Les Salons Hoche offer a sumptuous Haussmann-style setting with moldings, crystal chandeliers, and herringbone parquet floors. On video, the grandeur of the space lends itself perfectly to elegant and glamorous atmospheres.

8. Domaine de la Butte Ronde (Essonne)

A contemporary estate nestled in nature, 30 minutes from Paris. Its modern glass-and-wood architecture creates a striking contrast with the surrounding forest. Natural light floods the interior spaces, which is an absolute delight for videography. Ideal for couples seeking a modern, minimalist style.

9. Le Moulin de la Galette (Paris 18th)

A venue brimming with history and Bohemian charm in the heart of Montmartre. Made famous by Renoir, the Moulin de la Galette offers an intimate, authentically Parisian setting. The cobblestone streets of Montmartre in the background give images an unmistakable character. Perfect for small weddings full of charm.

10. Château de Neuville (Val-d'Oise)

A 17th-century château surrounded by wooded parkland, 40 minutes north of Paris. The blend of classic elegance and wild nature offers a rich visual palette for videography. The avenue of century-old linden trees is a must for couple sessions. The estate also offers on-site accommodation, ideal for a two-day wedding celebration.

Our Tips for Choosing Your Venue

Think about the light. A venue that's stunning in photos can be dark and challenging for video. Visit the venue at the time your ceremony will take place to assess the natural light.

Check noise restrictions. Some venues impose a curfew at 11 PM or limit music volume. Find out before signing.

Ask about drone permission. In urban areas, drone flights are heavily regulated. Check with the venue and your videographer whether aerial shots are possible.

Do a walkthrough with your videographer. A good professional will want to visit the venue beforehand to scout the best angles, lighting, and technical constraints.
